Over his two-decade career in the financial services industry, Steven K. Umstead has successfully guided many high-net-worth individuals and families to greater wealth and security. A former Vice President with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC and Senior Account Executive for Fidelity Investments, Steven K. Umstead has specialized in private wealth management since 2006. In that year, Fidelity tapped him to lead a team of financial professionals serving the firm's best clients with assets in excess of $1 million. His ability to build trust and maintain client relationships catapulted him to a senior position with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney where he worked within The Harter Wealth Advisory Group within the Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management division. As a Vice President and Financial Advisor, Steven K. Umstead developed customized asset management plans and solutions for clients with a minimum net worth of $20 million. He also developed expertise with clients in the firm’s Family Office, which serves families of significant means. In this role, he advised clients on investment strategies and asset allocation while also helping organize and clarify the complex relationships that arise at the intersection of wealth and family.

In 2011, Steven K. Umstead helped develop and establish Pactolus Private Wealth Management LLC where he holds the position of Director. Pactolus serves the needs of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. Mr. Umstead’s present responsibilities include overseeing client relationships, ensuring portfolio growth, and providing operational leadership for staff.

Steven K. Umstead earned his Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting from Marymount University. He is also a Certified Financial Planner (TM) practitioner and is in the process of earning designation as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Steven K. Umstead is a resident of Virginia, and he has been active in the Loudon County Chamber of Commerce and the Vienna, Virginia, chapter of Rotary International.
