Paul Drago

About Me

An accomplished surgeon and medical executive with years of experience in the field, Dr. Paul Drago currently works as the Medical Director and Otolaryngology Consultant with the South Carolina Department of Corrections. Dr. Drago lends his services to several locations in the state of South Carolina, including Kershaw, Evans, and Turbeville. Before joining the Department of Corrections, he spent five years with Genesis ENT & Plastic Surgery, PLLC, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Earlier, Dr. Drago worked with Central Carolina Ear, Nose, Throat & Audiological Center P.A. in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Before becoming a medical director and surgeon, Dr. Paul Drago spent nearly a decade studying surgery at locations across the United States. Most recently, Dr. Drago served as a Fellow in Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery at the Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. Four years earlier, Dr. Drago began his residency in otolaryngology at the University Hospitals of Cleveland. Prior to beginning his residency, he completed an Otology Rotation at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, England, and an Internship in General Surgery at New Haven Hospital.

Dr. Paul Drago earned his Doctor of Medicine from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. Before starting medical school, he received a Bachelor of Science in Zoology with honors at the University of Maryland, College Park. To supplement his work in the field of medicine, Dr. Drago belongs to a number of professional organizations, including the American Academy of Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons.
