Nick Beim

About Me

Mr. Nicholas Beim started his professional career at the United States Agency for International Development, where he worked as a Media Project Officer helping support independent media in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. In order to accomplish this goal, Nicholas Beim worked with a number of non-profit organizations and formed strategic business partnerships with major American media companies that offered resources and assistance.

After his time at the Agency for International Development, Nicholas Beim enjoyed a brief career in the investment banking industry before joining Matrix Partners, one of the top-performing venture capital firms in the United States. Matrix Partners has supported a number of companies in the past, including Veritas, Apple, and Sycamore Networks. Currently, Nicholas Beim is working with Care.com, an online marketplace tailored for child care, elder care, pet care, and home care. Another firm supported by Nicholas Beim is Gilt Groupe, Inc., an online retailer of luxury clothes sold at reduced prices, sometimes 70 percent off retail. Gilt Groupe relieves designers of their excess inventory, while offering them a chance to maintain brand equity. Nicholas Beim has expressed high hopes for the company, which has already emerged as one of the fastest-growing companies in the history of the internet.

Beyond his professional life, Nicholas Beim also serves as a board member for Endeavor, a non-profit organization that helps encourage entrepreneurialism in developing countries. Already, Nicholas Beim and Endeavor have helped new companies grow in Mexico, Brazil, South Africa, and Chile, among other countries.
