About Me

Maintaining professional affiliations secured throughout her 24 years working in the field of pediatric dentistry, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry diplomate Dr. Julie Anfinson practices in the Scottsdale, Arizona area. Dr. Anfinson owns Affiliated Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics (APDO), a full-service dental office providing comprehensive oral care to infants as young as one year of age, children, and adolescents. A member of the American Dental Association and Central Arizona Dental Society, Julie Anfinson, DDS, is a fellow at the 6,400-member American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and sits on the AAPD Council of Clinical Affairs committee.

An Iowa native, pediatric dentist Julie Anfinson, DDS, relocated to Arizona in 1987 after completing a dental degree at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry; a general hospital residency at The Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma; and a pediatric dental specialty program at Baylor College of Dentistry in Texas. At APDO, Dr. Anfinson leads a skilled staff working to create an interactive and educational environment. Dr. Anfinson encourages parents to partner with their child in order to reach that child’s best possible dental health.

Active in her professional community, Julie Anfinson, DDS, is a staff member at several area hospitals. In addition, Dr. Anfinson serves in a consultancy role for the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners, evaluating dentists who have applied for oral conscious sedation licensure.

Dr. Anfinson supports a number of charities including the Boys and Girls Club of America and the Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children Foundation of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. In her time outside of work, Julie Anfinson, DDS, enjoys spending time with her three daughters and engages in outdoor activities including hiking, cycling, and various water sports.
