About Me

Since 1995, Jennifer Borg has served North Jersey Media Group Inc. as the newspaper publishing company’s Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary. Previously, Jennifer Borg worked at Breed, Abbott & Morgan in New York City. Subsequently, Ms. Borg joined Proskauer Rose LLP, an international law firm based in New York. At Proskauer Rose, Ms. Borg specialized in labor and employment law. In 1995, Ms. Borg joined North Jersey Media Group as chief legal counsel. She directs the legal work for The Record and Herald News, as well as more than 50 weeklies, several websites, and the company's commercial printing business.

In her current position, Jennifer Borg handles both litigation and transactional legal work for the company. Ms. Borg copyrighted and handled all the licensing for The Record's iconic photograph of the three firefighters raising the American Flag at Ground Zero. After a reporter was prevented from covering a detainee hearing held by the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service, she filed a right of access suit against former Attorney General John Ashcroft as a defendant. Recently, Jennifer Borg branched out into cyber-law on behalf of her company's websites, NorthJersey.com and Bergen.com. The sites offer visitors information about breaking news, details, and happenings throughout New Jersey and Bergen County. Prior to her professional pursuits, Ms. Borg earned degrees from Denison University and Columbia Law School.

Ms. Borg is a member of the American Bar Association, the D.C. Bar Association, New York City Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association, and the New York State Bar Association. Additionally, Jennifer Borg demonstrates her commitment to the publishing world by serving on the boards of the New Jersey Press Association, the New Jersey Press Foundation, and the photojournalist-supporting Eddie Adams Workshop.
