Hans-Christer Holgersson leverages years of experience in international business and finance toward his current position as Managing Director of Scania Great Britain, the UK branch of Scania, one of the world’s largest and most successful producers of heavy-duty automotive equipment. Born in Sweden, Hans-Christer Holgersson has worked across the globe during his more than 20-year tenure with Scania. Hans-Christer Holgersson first joined Scania in 1985 as the Manager of Financial Planning and Control for Scania Brazil. Demonstrating a superb understanding of international finance stemming from his previous work in the finance and shipping industries, Hans-Christer Holgersson implemented a number of organizational changes to Scania’s Brazilian operations that cut costs and increased revenues. In his next positions, Hans-Christer Holgersson moved to Spain and his native Sweden, where he served as Managing Director of Scania Finance. In 1999, Hans-Christer Holgersson returned to South America to head up Scania’s operations in Argentina, before being named President and CEO of Scania Latin America. For his leadership in the Brazilian market, Hans-Christer Holgersson was named by Autodata and CartaCapital as 2005’s Most Admired Business Leader in Brazil’s Automotive Industry. Immediately prior to becoming Managing Director of Scania Great Britain, Hans-Christer Holgersson held positions as Group Vice President of Scania CV AB and Director of the Scania Group Executive Board. Throughout his career, Hans-Christer Holgersson has worked to improve business relations between Sweden and other countries through active participation in the Swedish Chamber of Commerce. Currently, Hans-Christer Holgersson holds the position of Director of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in the United Kingdom. Hans-Christer Holgersson formerly served as Director of the Council of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Brazil and Argentina.Education
