As Superintendent of two eastern Nebraska school districts, Ken Heinz has improved district-wide fiscal stability, elevated academic standards, and demonstrated comprehensive administrative ability. After assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer for Centura Public Schools in Cairo, Nebraska, Ken Heinz was responsible for multiple program, facility, and process improvements in a district with over 600 students and more than 100 professional staff members. In addition to instituting district-wide accountability measures for students and staff alike, Mr. Heinz’s oversight duties included transportation, facilities management, technology infrastructure, and a variety of specialized programs.

After re-writing district curricula, he was able to add classes and programs without expanding staff. Additionally, he guided the restructuring of activity and lunch funds to be self-sustaining and implemented a new breakfast program.
Ken Heinz holds a Doctorate of Education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and an M.S. in Administration and Foundations from the Kansas State University’s College of Education. A one-time Director of Choral Activities for Grand Island Senior High School, Mr. Heinz earned a Bachelor of Music from Nebraska Wesleyan University.
Mr. Heinz has held affiliations with the Nebraska Association of School Administrators and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. He has been responsible for numerous presentations to the Nebraska State Board of Education, the Nebraska Legislature, and state and national North Central Association Conferences.

From 1986 to 1998, Dr. Samuel Ahn served as Attending Surgeon & Chief of the Vascular Surgery Section at the Olive View-UCLA Medical Center in Sylmar, California while maintaining attending surgeon status with the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. During this time, he was also on the faculty of the UCLA Geffen School of Medicine as Assistant and then Associate Professor of Surgery. From 1999 to 2006, he was promoted to Professor of Surgery and Director of Endovascular Surgery within the school’s Division of Vascular Surgery. In 2003, Dr. Samuel Ahn earned the Golden Scalpel Award from the UCLA Division of Vascular Surgery for his teaching and surgical contributions.
