About Me

Located in Eldersburg, Maryland, Friendship School works with students attending grades one through eight who have language-based and other learning differences. For over a decade, Friendship School has provided comprehensive educations by fostering a creative and engaging learning environment that allows each student to discover and explore his or her unique talents and abilities. With a comprehensive curriculum that covers language, literacy, mathematics, social studies, science, art, drama, music, technology, and physical education, Friendship School focuses on daily one-on-one tutoring, small class instruction, and individualized treatment plans that address the distinctive learning styles of each student. To facilitate this process, Friendship School also incorporates several multi-sensory, linear, systematic, and cumulative educational models including the Orton-Gillingham methodology, the Saxon Math method, and guidelines set by the Maryland State Department of Education. Furthermore, Friendship School’s highly qualified and dedicated faculty hold a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and receive special training to help them identify and work with a variety of learning differences.

Today, Friendship School welcomes students seeking an innovative, challenging, well-rounded, and highly personalized education. In addition to students living in Eldersburg, Friendship School welcomes those in Carroll, Howard, Frederick, Anne Arundel, Prince George’s, Montgomery counties, and from across the greater Baltimore area.
