Dr. Ron Israeli

About Me

Over the years, Dr. Ron Israeli has played a versatile role as a clinical researcher and practitioner, serving as a key figure in the fields of urology and urologic oncology. Aside from his considerable responsibilities as Medical Director and President of Staten Island Urologic Oncology, Clove Urology, P.C., in New York, Dr. Ron Israeli has served as principal investigator on a number of notable clinical trials for major pharmaceutical firms. In the past decade alone, Dr. Ron Israeli led studies for such companies as Ferring Pharmaceuticals, Oakwood Laboratories, Aeterna Zentaris, Novacea, GlaxoSmithKline, Ortho-McNeil, Amgen, and Johnson & Johnson.

A frequent speaker at industry conferences as well, Dr. Israeli recently presented at the American Urological Association’s (AUA) New York Section annual meeting, the AUA Western Section meeting, the AUA annual meeting, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology annual meeting. In addition, Dr. Israeli has published papers in more than a dozen scholarly journals, notably contributing articles to editions of Reviews in Urology, the Journal of Urology, Contemporary Urology, the International Journal of Radiation Oncology Biology Physics, Urology, and Genomics. A member of several professional and medical organizations, Dr. Israeli maintains affiliation with the Richmond County Medical Society, Medical Society of the State of New York, American Medical Association, Society of Urologic Oncology, American Association for Cancer Research, and American College of Surgeons, where he has been a Fellow since 2000.

Dr. Ron Israeli graduated from The Johns Hopkins University and the Stony Brook University School of Medicine before launching his medical career. After his initial schooling, Dr. Israeli completed his internship and residency in general surgery at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, a National Cancer Institute fellowship in prostate cancer research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, a residency in urology at Maimonides Medical Center, and a clinical fellowship in urologic oncology at Sloan-Kettering.
