About Me

David G. Muston has made a 30-year career out of purchasing struggling camera stores and transforming them into thriving businesses on the forefront of photographic development through a combination of his business insight and his ability to foresee major changes in the industry. During the time Mr. Muston owned his first camera shop, his was among the first businesses in the country that offered one hour photo services to its customers. Several years later, David Muston recognized the potential popularity of glossy 4” X 6” prints over the duller, textured 3” X 5” prints popular at the time. By offering glossy prints at a larger size than other stores, Mr. Muston’s business again took off because it offered a service that was not widely available at the time. With each new purchase of a camera shop, David Muston takes a struggling company and injects it with innovative services, ideas, and business strategies.

While David Muston has built a career on being a shrewd businessman and insider in the photography industry, he also holds a Standard Secondary Teaching Credential from San Jose State University. He studied at Stanislaus State College, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree.

In his free time, David Muston enjoys reading, travelling, and spending time with his family and friends. He is also an active philanthropist, and over the years, he has donated many thousands of dollars to various charities to help those in need.
