About Me

An academic and athletic standout, Cliff Kigar is a sophomore at Olentangy High School in Lewis Center, Ohio. Cliff Kigar earned a 4.0 grade point average during his freshman year in high school, excelling in science and math. He takes pride in challenging himself through honors and advanced-level classwork and is considering future studies in engineering.

A former standout on the football field, Mr. Kigar now engages in cross country running through the fall months. The extended workout provided by long-distance running keeps him in peak fitness for the spring lacrosse season. An experienced attackman, he gained initial experience playing lacrosse in third grade through the Olentangy Youth Athletic Association (OYAA). As a Shanahan Middle School player in 2011, he led his team to a Division 3 State Championship.

Cliff Kigar began his high school career on the junior varsity lacrosse squad but was soon moved up to varsity, where he added 10 goals in his freshman year. With additional experience on elite travel teams such as the Liberty Iroquois in 6th grade and the Resolute 2015 in 7th grade, he plans to compete with the Haymakers in summer 2012. Mr. Kigar attributes much of his current athletic success to the guidance he received from his older brother and friends of his brother. These individuals challenged him, coached him, and gave him confidence to excel on the field.

Active in his community, Cliff Kigar participates in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation-sponsored Walk to Cure Diabetes. He has also gained interest in spirituality and personal growth through Young Life group activities and as a member of the Campaigners Bible study group.
